Really think about this quote for a minute. John Wooden, the former basketball coach for UCLA, is an incredible resource for words to live by and this idea is no exception.
Sometimes we fall into the trap of focusing on the negatives in our lives.
“I wish I was in better shape.”
“I wish I had more money.”
“I wish I had finished school.”
“I wish……
“I wish……
“I wish……
How about “I am” statements?
We need to focus on where we are today and make it great. Focus on what is positive in our lives. This is a re-energizing tool, as well as simply a way to look at life.
It’s up to us to stop, take a second, and shift our focus away from the negative and make the best of all of the amazing things we do have in our lives.
Think about how your much outlook on life can change just by appreciating the good in your life.
